Trends in Renewable Biofuels
Matt Chester of Chester Energy and Policy is also the head of Alternative Energy at JNK Securities. As a part of that role, he hosts regular TechLeaderBoard panels on a variety of relevant energy issues, bringing together key experts in the topic areas.
In this panel, the following was featured:
The world continues to try to decarbonize the energy systems the drive every sector of the economy, but there are some use cases that are quite far away from being able to electrify, including industrial and transportation sources, among others. But finding a way to energize these key sectors in a way that reduces emissions is critical to public climate goals, company ESG mandates, and more. Renewable biofuels are one of the key solutions that are developing to fill the need for high energy density fuels but without the associated carbon emissions that plague oil and gas use. These fuels are rapidly becoming more prevalent, thanks to a combination of favorable public policies, technological advancement, and market forces bringing down the price closer to parity with existing energy sources.
In this TechLeaderBoard session, we’ll bring together experts working on different areas of the renewable biofuel sector to discuss what the most promising trends are in 2022 and what the direction of these energy sources look to be in the coming years.
- Casey Keller, Founder of Virescent LLC and Manager at Caerus Commodities
